Freedoms of Travellers is a licensed tour operator headquartered in Bondowoso — the gateway to Ijen — guiding travellers through East Java’s volcanoes, waterfalls and coastline since our first jeep rolled across the Sea of Sand.

We started as a small group of local guides who grew up between Ijen and Bromo. Today we run fully private journeys for guests from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Europe and beyond — always with our own team on the ground.
How we travel
- One group, one vehicle, one guide. No shared tours and no fixed group schedules.
- Safety first. Every Ijen guest receives a pre-trek health screening and a gas mask, and we follow PVMBG volcano advisories every day.
- Mandarin-speaking guides and clear communication through WeChat and WhatsApp before, during and after the trip.
- Transparent pricing. Hotels, transport, jeep, entrance fees and refreshments are included — no surprises on the road.
Community driven
We work with Tenggerese jeep owners, Ijen porters and local homestays, and we reinvest part of every booking into guide training and conservation activities around the parks we visit.
